VISUAL COMMUNICATION
A blue/yellow Scandinavian furniture giant not to be further identified here has known it all along: a picture says more than a thousand words.
Globalisation has made the world a smaller place. More and more information needs to be available, fast and comprehensible. At airports, we have become accustomed to icons and images helping our flight land on the right runway. Why then is so much still being written?
Much technical communication can be carried out visually instead of in writing.
Visuals convey the message convincingly;
making it possible to communicate without many words in many languages;
and they are often simply clearer.
So consider looking further than letters alone and discovering the possibilities of visual communication such as icons, appropriate illustrations or a photo with an enriching vibe.
Because it is not only an enrichment or a clarification, but sometimes text is simply superfluous.
